- ASYMPTOTIC AND SINGULAR PERTURBATION METHODS
The development of asymptotic approach to the manyscaled problems. The
application of the singular perturbation methods
to the problems of thermoelasticity, thermoconductivity,
kinetics and magnetic hydrodynamics.
- COMPUTATIONAL MODELLING OF THE PHYSICAL PROCESSES IN
CONTINUOUS MEDIA
The development of the numerical methods for the calculation of the
process of the crystal growth, radiative heat transfer in semitransparence
media. Construction of algorithms for the estimation of the power
and threshold
characteristics of the semiconductors lasers on the base of quantum wells.
Monte-Carlo simulation of electron transport in solids.
Computations of
electron-atom scattering cross sections.
- PHYSICS OF
NEUTRON STARS
Studies of internal
structure and thermal evolution of neutron stars;
thermal emission from the
their atmospheres;
interpretation
of multiwavelenght observations.
- INTEGRAL TRANSFORMATIONS AND SPECIAL FUNCTIONS OF
MATHEMATICAL PHYSICS
The development of the theory of integral expansion on the hypergeometric
functions.
- NONLINEAR DYNAMICAL SYSTEMS
Investigation of the properties of the Poincare map in dynamical
systems with
the homoclynic trajectory. The asymptotic of the solution of
nonlinear systems in the
vicinity of the bifurcation point.
Study of chaotic behaviour of the coupled spin system of optically
oriented electrons and nuclei in semiconductors.
